A wonderful B&B in a great location for exploring North Devon. The house and rooms are spotless, breakfast is delicious with a wide range of options and the owners, Lauren & Henry, are incredibly welcoming with lots of knowledge and information on the local area. Highly recommended, we have already planned our trip down for next year.

“So friendly and welcoming”
Arriving after a long drive, it was so good to receive a friendly welcome. I am a single traveller and it was so refreshing to feel so relaxed. The room was exactly what I needed with such a comfortable bed, everything I needed for a short stay and so clean.
Breakfast had so much to offer and the home made bread, marmalade and jam were so delicious. Perfect to set me up for a day out. Lauren went over the local area for me with places to eat and to visit.
I will certainly go back as it is an ideal place to stay to explore the local area. A huge thank you to Lauren and Henry

“Wow - a fabulous b & b!”
Incredible bed and breakfast accommodation with wonderful hosts, Lauren and Henry. We were greeted with hot drinks and flapjack, given a brief outline of the accommodation, surrounding area, walks etc. and then shown to our rooms which were all beautifully presented with lots of little extras. Henry's breakfasts were delicious - full English and eggs benedict cooked to perfection.
Lauren and Henry really strive 100% to make your stay with them perfect.

“Great break ”
What a fabulous B+B, Lauren and Henry are fabulous hosts, their attention to detail is what you would expect at a higher rated hotel. Their personal touch makes this a stand out venue. The freshly cooked breakfast is second to none with the added homemade bread and marmalades a real classy touch. We will be back again.

Cozy B&B, Warm Hosts, Great Location”

Had a truly wonderful stay here. Lauren and Henry were incredibly warm and welcoming! Delicious breakfasts (homemade bread and marmalades were to die for), very clean and cozy. A short walk from the Valley of Rocks, which is what initially drew me in. There is no shortage of stunning scenery in the area. Absolutely nothing negative to say about this place and I can only hope I get to return! Highly, HIGHLY recommended.

"Hugely Enjoyabe Stay" We had a superb 2 night stopover at Longmead House on our return from a week in Cornwall.
Lauren & Henry gave us a great welcome, and made us feel at home.
The room was very comfortable with great facilities, and Impeccably clean.
Breakfast was a revelation compared to your usual hotel fayre, a good choice is available too, for us the full english was the only way to go after tasting it on the first morning.
The quality of the ingredients is clearly apparent an don't go missing the jam and marmalade, on the home made bread toast.
Wouldn't stay anywhere else in North Devon now we've sampled the Longmead.

"Superb Motorcycle Friendly Accommodation" This was a very off the cuff, hastily arranged few days away on the motorbike. I read no reviews and did not research the area. I simply booked it and the next morning jumped on the Harley and headed for Exmoor. Somebody was smiling on me, what a gem of a place. As soon as I walked through the door of Longmead House I knew I was going to have a fun time. I was immediately made to feel welcome by Lauren, nothing was too much trouble and you could tell that the greetings were indeed very genuine and from the heart. I used the word "fun" because both Lauren and Henry are actually fun people to be around. Always an issue on a motorcycle is safe, secure parking, no worries here. Off road with a good firm surface, gravel but not deep and I didn't need anything under the side stand on the Harley.
I honestly found this property to be simply perfect as a base from which to explore the local region. Both on the bike and on foot. Breakfast - Yum! Henry is by profession a Chef & it shows! everything cooked fresh. Great choice as well. Would I stay here again, very definitely without question....

"Longmead House is special because of the level of service" We spent 3 nights at this B&B and loved it! Our room # 8 had a super comfortable Super-King bed with lovely linens, the breakfasts were great and the owners Lauren & Henry go above and beyond to make sure you are very well looked after. In addition, the location is a 4 minute walk from one of the most spectacular sights you will see, the Valley of the Rocks - a must see, not to mention the various walking paths steps away with magnificent scenery.

"A lovely stay in a lovely corner of Exmoor." My friend and I stayed at Longmead House while on a cycling tour of Devon. Henry and Lauren were incredibly hospitable and helpful from the very start. We were given plenty of advice about the area and the breakfast was wonderful (they even had gluten-free bread for me to enjoy which was nice). All in all a lovely place. I will come back again!

"Longmead House third visit" Third visit to Longmead House in Lynton. Once again, the level of service from owners Lauren and Henry was faultless. We upgraded to a higher spec double room this time and were very pleased with the facilities. Breakfast was a delight; we definitely needed a long walk later to burn off the calories!

Fantastic stay, amazing hosts - We have just returned from a weekend with Lauren and Henry and have had a fantastic stay. As hosts they were spot on. I have Coeliac Disease and they were able to fully accommodate gluten free sausages and bread for breakfast. Lauren was also able to advise on local eateries where we could find gluten free food.
The room was spotless and has everything you would hope to find. The bed was big and comfy with lovely crisp linen.
It's hard to believe that Lauren and Henry have only been at Longmead House for a year. The professionalism they show cannot be surpassed. I would recommend Longmead House to anyone visiting North Devon. It is just on the edge of where the Valley of The Rocks meets the town so is perfectly situated for walks and visits to the various shops and restaurants etc. on offer.

The welcome we received was the best that we have ever experienced in more than 30 years of travel. The owners Lauren and Henry went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Which was so appreciated by us, in a world where everything appears so much to be taken for granted. A big thumbs up for 'Longmead House'.
- There was absolutely nothing not to like.
Advance Party Visit - “Two couples, forming the advance party for a 15 person visit later in the year, had a very warm welcome from Lauren and Henry, a delightful couple - who are entirely prepared to put themselves out to meet our requirements. All the rooms are clean, well presented and comfortable. Henry cooked an excellent breakfast and both he and Lauren gave us a warm and enthusiastic stay with much helpful advice.”
Fabulous Weekend - “Devizes, UK
We had a great stay at Longmead House and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. The rooms are clean and very comfortable; the breakfast is one of the best we've had and the hosts are extremely welcoming. We did some wonderful walks and local trips around the area which Lauren and Henry were able to recommend. All in all, a fabulous weekend and we will definitely be back. ”
