LONGMEAD HOUSE TO REOPEN 4th JULY

We are very pleased to announce that we have now received our Good To Go Certificate from Visit England

Covid 19 Guidance

We will be reopening on 4th July following the Government's announcement on 23rd June. We know that many of you will be itching to get away, to visit outside spaces, enjoy well deserved leisure time, explore the outside more freely, visit loved ones in different parts of the country and indulge in some relaxation after the uncertainty and anxieties of the last few months living in these unusual times. We are therefore making preparations and plans to ensure the safety of everyone and are looking forward to welcoming back guests to Longmead House and the beautiful Exmoor Coastal area that we live in. We have made some changes to our routines and procedures to ensure that we maintain the key principles of reducing the risks of infection and spread of Covid 19. Initially we will be reducing the  occupancy of our rooms, aiming to offer two rooms in the first floor and two on the second floor to ensure that we don?t have guests in adjoining rooms unless they are from the same family party. This is to allow us to manage the cleaning regime and social distancing requirements in and around the house and dining room.

Those of you who have stayed with us before know that we pride ourselves on delivering a robust daily cleaning schedule in the rooms and around the house. In the current climate it is even more important that we take additional measures to follow industry guidelines and best practice to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests is maximised.

If you are looking to get away and find some solace, explore the many walking and hiking trails around us, visit some our wonderful attractions or just relish the  peace and quiet and relax then please contact us to book or visit our website to view our rooms and facilities. We are looking forward to seeing you all again even from a socially appropriate distance !

We commerated the 75th Anniversary of VE Day with humility and thanks whilst we remember the sacrifices made by so many people who fought so bravely for our liberty in the Second World War.

Lynton enthusiastically participated in the festivities too in the appropriate fashion. We were fortunate to celebrate with a VE Day picnic lunch in our garden including spam rolls and a fruit caked baked to the recipe used by Churchills cook at Chartwell. Very tasty - especially the cake.
